Signs of a Gallbladder Problem
- Pain that occurs in the upper-right of your abdomen or pain that radiates to other areas of the body (back and chest)
- Digestive problems including nausea, vomiting, acid reflux and gas are common symptoms
- Chronic diarrhea or more than four bowel movements per day for at least three months
- Yellow-tinted skin, or jaundice, may be a sign of a block or stone in the common bile duct
- Lighter-colored stools and dark urine are possible signs of a common bile duct block

You may need gallbladder surgery if you have pain or other symptoms caused by gallstones — small stones that can form in the gallbladder. They can block the flow of bile and irritate the gallbladder.
